Volunteers will work at NaraTika Community Learning Center, a project by Volunteers Initiative Nepal. Volunteers in the Child Protection & Development project will: facilitate life skills training - covering areas such as communication, teamwork, self-awareness, personal safety; support school-based children’s clubs; organize interaction programs with teachers and school management committees to foster a child-friendly learning environment, raise awareness about children’s rights and protection issues; assist in developing a comprehensive life skills and creativity manual for ViN’s children’s programs. In the Gender Equality–Women’s Empowerment project, volunteers will contribute by providing life skills training to women, focusing on communication, decision-making, and stress management; teach digital literacy computer skills, and basic English to young women; support entrepreneurship development training; assist in creating a life skills manual for women's empowerment programs.
The volunteers will stay in Naratika Community learning centre arranged by VIN. ESC volunteers will be accomodate in Naratika Community learning centre. The working site and accommodation will be at walking distance in the community. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. Volunteers will sleep on simple bunk beds in shared rooms. All meals are fully covered by VIN. There will be 3 meals per day. Tea will be served twice a day. Pocket money is 500 EUR per month.
Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) offers a 3- to 5-day orientation program to help volunteers integrate into Nepalese culture and prepare for their projects. The training covers cultural and health guidance, basic Nepali language, administrative tasks, an overview of social media use; VIN’s mission, activities, and target communities; project-specific training, such as early childhood development or infrastructure projects. Volunteers also receive T-shirts, participate in a group photoshoot, and complete the induction evaluation form.
The Participant profile: We are seeking dynamic, compassionate, and motivated individuals who are passionate about education, community development, women's empowerment, youth leadership, and sustainability. *Age: 18–35 *Open-minded, adaptable, and culturally sensitive *Background or strong interest in education, community work, social work, or child development *Experience in teaching, facilitation, or youth work is an advantage, but not mandatory *Willing to engage in teamwork and clear, respectful communication.Deadline: No application deadline
