À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local

There are 7 Youth and Cultural centers (MJC) in Gaillac and Graulhet’s conurbation comittee. MJCAGG is already involved in the European Solidarity Corps programme and is hosting 3 volunteers from October 2020 to July 2021. The MJCs are affiliated to the Departmental Federation of Tarn, the Occitanie-Pyrénées Regional Federation and therefore to the Confederation at the national level. Gaillac and Graulhet's MJC (MJCAGG) focus their actions on 4 fields: ACTIVITY CLUBS - wellbeing, art, music, non formal learning, physical activity and leisure, open from young children to seniors CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT - eclectic program, promotion of local artists, local, departmental, regional, national and international projects and events YOUTH ACTION - after school activities, extracurricular programs, camps, support for homework, and artistic practices, 2 youth Information Structures and 1 Eurodesk CREALAB - FabLab or digital third place, access to computers and digital machine tools, it is open to everyone and has many possibilities Gaillac and Graulhet’s conurbation comittee, experiences a strong disparity with QPV (Political Quarters of the City) and ZRR (Rural Areas to Revitalize). This diversity creates social, economic and/or geographic inequalities, especially among our youth, who remain the priority target of our organization. These societal challenges are fundamental and the MJCs try to reduce these inequalities, fight against discrimination, community withdrawal and isolation.

Présentation du programme

Our project with the European volunteer will be : A first part oriented on daily life: he will take part in extracurricular and after-school childcare activities, in MJC activity workshops, in exchanges with other local associations, the town hall, the school, etc. The objective is to be the local promoter of another European culture and values of humanity to be shared between Europeans. A second component oriented cultural development: he will support the coordinator dedicated to the cultural development project built in close partnership with the municipality. He will set up medias, social networks, etc, host artists, the organization of events, etc. With the other European volunteers from Gaillac and Graulhet MJCs, he will be able to participate in the organization of a European event in May. À propos de l'hébergement

The volunteer will live in a fully equiped appartement renovated in 2023, 100 meters from the main place of activity (living room/kitchen, an independent bedroom, bathroom and independent WC). The volunteer will have 500 €/month for pocket money, food and gas. It is also possible to eat lunch at the canteen for 3,20€.

- 2 or 3 days introduction programme upon arrival to facilitate the integration and training of volunteers -Arrival training in the 3 first months by the NA -Once every 2 week meeting with tutor from host organisation to provide them with personal and professional support, and be their linguistic support, facilitating communication between volunteers and the team -Once a month gathering with volunteers among the coordinating organisation for support, team building and discover surroundings -French lesson through online platform and teacher -Mid-project traning by the NA

Exigences

The Participant profile: The volunteer should have an attraction for cultural development mainly in the musical field. Some experience, even modest, in the organization of events (concert, show, exhibition, etc.) would be a plus. By integrating the team of youth leaders of the MJC on a daily basis, he will be in contact with children and youngsters. He must have pedagogy.
