Tallinna Kiisupere kindergarten is a municipal kindergarten in Estonia’s capital Tallinn. It’s aim is to care for and educate children between the ages of 1,5 and 7. This is based on National Curriculum and executed through daily teaching activities, play, educational trips etc. Children are grouped into classes of similar age. Regular activities involve Art, Language, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education and Environmental teaching activities. Tallinn is a city with population consisting of many different nationalities and Tallinna Kiisupere Kindergarten is welcoming children from these different backgrounds. Our aim is to be open to differences and educate ourselves and our children about different cultures, to be more tolerant and open minded.
Kiisupere kindergarten has 7 groups of children from age 1,5 to 7 years old. We are located in three different buildings and the volunteer will be working with children aged 18 months to 3 years. We are a multicultural kindergarten, with a wish to learn about different countries and cultures. The volunteer would enrich the kindergarten's everyday life. We aim to develop children in different areas: general physical development, educational activities, musical and physical skills, cognitive skills, self-service skills. The volunteer can contribute to organising events and assisting teachers, helping children taking part in educational activities, playing with children in the classroom and playground, taking part in field trips, helping children getting dressed. The volunteer is also encouraged to organise events to introduce his/ her country and culture. MORE INFORMATION & HOW TO APPLY: https://estyes.ee/en/projects/tallinn-kiisupere-kindergarden/
